Het gebeurt soms dat een VDX switch of SLX router een melding geeft dat een Optic Incompatibel is, ook al is deze door Brocade of Extreme Networks uitgegeven. Dit is een false positive, want de optic kan wel functioneren wanneer je de interface instellingen aanpast.
In dit voorbeeld gebruiken wij een Brocade 40Gbit QSFP optic in een Extreme Networks SLX 9540 rout
Hoe ga je te werk?
In “show log raslog” ziet u de volgende melding wanneer u een SFP of QSFP optic in uw switch of router steekt:

U zult in de command-line ook zien dat de interface UP is, maar met line protocol DOWN:
